Southern Ethiopia’s tribal and tropical Omo Valley is astounding. There’s no place in the world quite like it. The landscapes and scenes are exasperating: hills, mountains, rivers, waterfalls, forests, jungle, exotic birdlife and wild animals, flowers and plants.
In and amongst the South, Ethiopian tribes are vast and varied. Wildly fascinating and intriguing, each has different body markings, clothing, hairstyles, facial features and beliefs.
Surreal to meet them, it’s now even more surreal in hindsight looking at these pictures, to think that I was there and had the privilege of meeting such wonderful, different and interesting people, and the chance to learn about their cultures and customs.
